Condolence From: Jackie Bailey
Condolence: Hello "Steph" and "Little Lester".. I chuckle as I type this message to you. It's been that long ago and I remember Les telling me many stories of your life with those sweet nicknames he used..so proud of his children. He and I were best friends and roommates at different timesthrough the years. What a guy!Lester, you stayed with your dad and me and my 2 children for a visit once when we lived a little ways down from the Capitol building. You were a sweet little guy! I first met your dad in the late 70's or early 80's when he hired me to work for him at the optical shop on the base. We laughed so much, it wasn't even like work. Later when he worked for Milt once in a while, I came to work there too...just for the fun! That was before he bought the Lamp Lounge. After I moved to Washington state, he visited here and I would visit for the rodeo there many times. We were great friends for lots of treasured years! He was a special man with a big heart! I know you will miss this wonderful father and friend. God bless you,and your families.Till we all meet again.....

Condolence From: Les Winebarger (from California)
Condolence: My sincere condolences to Les' family (as he & I shared the very same name AND roots from Coeburn VA.). I googled Les' name years back, seeking ancestor-ship. I found many wonderful comments about Les and his delightful heart. Now, to learn he was born in Coeburn VA., as was my own father, I feel I many have waited too long.
To Stephanie and Les Paul; I am so very sorry
If at all possible; I am truly interested in any communication.

Condolence: To Les's family.
Les was one of the nicest people that I've known in Wyoming. I first met Les in 1996. I was working for K2TV in Casper when they sent me down to Cheyenne to head up K2TV in the capital city. I needed a place to live and saw an ad for an apartment on Sagebrush. I met Les at the Lamp on Labor Day weekend and he took me to the apartment which I immediately said "I'll take it." Les brought me over some furniture in his pickup to get me started. He was always kind and I always felt at home on Sagebrush. K2TV moved me back up to Casper in May of 1999 where I stayed until March 2001. Then it was back down to Cheyenne. I called Les and it just so happened he had an apartment in the same building on Sagebrush which again I took without hesitation. A few months later I started working at KGWN-TV, NewsChannel 5. I'll always be grateful to Les for all he has done for me.

Condolence: Steph & Lester,
My heart hurts for both of you with the sad news of your Dad’s passing. He was one of the good guys that always made me feel welcome no matter how long it had been since I had seen him. I know what a positive influence he was on your lives and I cannot fathom how hard this is for both of you, but always remember the love and not the loss and know he will always be with you. Love you both and I’m here for you. ❤️

Condolence: Stephanie & Lester: It is with a deep feeling of loss that we hope you will find peace with the passing of your dad. Les was a very good friend of ours and we had many, many good times with him whether it be gambling, parties at the Lamp, week-end outings at Crystal Reservoir, fish fries at his different homes, etc., etc. (I will never forget the fishing trip we went to in Alaska!!) He will not be forgotten for his kindness and friendship. We're sure we speak for a lot of the people he knew that he will be truly missed. The Lamp will never be the same without Les................
