Obituary for Charles Eugene "Chuck" Lindsey

Charles “Chuck” E. Lindsey, 89, died on September 21, 2018 at Life Care Center in Cheyenne.

Chuck was born on May 22, 1929 in Humbolt, Kansas to Robert and Ethel Lindsey.

Chuck enlisted in the Air Force in 1947. He married Mary Carter on August 20, 1950 in Chanute, Kansas. He spent 20 years in the Air Force and retired and decided to make Cheyenne their home. He was the first graduate of LCCC and went on to graduate from the University of Wyoming in 1972. He taught at Carey Junior High School until his final retirement in 1995. He and Mary owned and operated MiLady Beauty Salon during the 1960’s and 1970’s.

He is survived by his wife, Mary of Cheyenne; two daughters, Susan (Doug) Hughes and Sunny Reiber, both of Cheyenne; four grandchildren, Jeff (Jenny) Lindsey of Denver, Colorado, Conor McCoy and Jacob (Stacey) Reiber, both of Cheyenne, and Bailey (Kit) Clunis of Denver; great-grandchildren, Breanna Lindsey, Lyndia, Remy and Jonathan McCoy, Emalynn, Rylee and Everett Reiber, and Kai Clunis; and a sister-in-law, Jean Lindsey.

Chuck was preceded in death by his parents and four siblings.

A memorial reception will be held on Saturday, September 29, 2018 at 10:00 a.m. in the Schrader Reception Center at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.

In lieu of flowers, donation can be made to the Alzheimer’s Foundation and/or Meals on Wheels.

Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home
