Obituary for Monty B. Holloway

Monty Holloway, 56, of Cheyenne passed away November 15, 2018 in Cheyenne.

He was born August 28, 1962 in Great Falls, Montana to Malvin and Patricia Holloway. He married Annette Santini on August 21, 1982 in Cheyenne. He was a baker and attended St. Mary’s Cathedral. He was an avid Kansas City Chiefs fan and loved bingo, slots, video poker and WWE wrestling.

He is survived by his wife, Annette Holloway of Cheyenne; daughters, Elizabeth Holloway of Denver and Mia Holloway of Cheyenne; grandsons Bradley and Edward Durante; siblings, Dena (Mark) Terry of Longmont, CO, Pamela (Jim) Cosgrove of Denver and Mitchell (Jan) Holloway of Tempe, Arizona.

Visitation will be Tuesday 3:00 – 6:00 p.m. with funeral services tentatively scheduled on Wednesday 3:00 p.m. in the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Interment will follow in Cheyenne Memorial Gardens.

My deep deep condolences to the Holloway family:
May you reflect on the precious memories of your loved one. I would like to share what helped us when our precious daughter died and later when my precious husband fell asleep in death as well. I appreciated the calls and visits from all over the U.S. but I recall just sitting down and reading different Scriptures and meditating on them. It was so comforting to read that God cares for me personally... (1Peter 5:6, 7). Yes, He cares, He sees our pain. And, He Jehovah God will in His due time do away with All sicknesses & death (Isaiah 33:24 & Isaiah 25:8). He is indeed a God of comfort. Oh, wow He promises the hope of seeing our precious loved ones again (John 5:28, 29) and says where (Psalms 37:11). He always keeps His word. I hope that these few Scriptures were of some comfort to you as they were to me.

Monty was a man that had a smile that could light up a whole city, never mind a room!
He had a wonderful sense of humor and the best laugh.
He was a great friend. You could feel that he really care deeply about you.
He loved his wife and once told me that he couldn’t believe his luck, that Annette, loved him back.
He adored his two beautiful daughters and was quite proud to be their father.
He loved music. We would often just sit and listen to album after album and discuss (sometimes loudly, if we differed on opinion), the merits of one band or album over the other.
I will always hold his smile and kindnesses in my heart.
To his family, I offer my deepest sympathy and hope that you always feel his spirit beside you.
Rest well, old friend...you were well loved.
