Grace Heschke, 85, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away peacefully in her sleep on Saturday, January 16, 2016, at the Davis Hospice Center in Cheyenne with her family by her side.
Grace was born March 9, 1930, in Fort Collins, Colorado, to James and Lizzie Geary.
Grace was preceded in death by her parents; 13 brothers and sisters; and her husband, Eldon Heschke. She is survived by her children, Vern and Sara Mathews, Larry and Andrea Mathews, Keith and Sheri Heschke, Jeff and Pam Heschke, Vickie and Russel Pafford, Rick and Kathy Heschke, and Lynn and Bill Gribble; 14 grandchildren; 27 great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Grace was an active member of the Salvation Army, serving since childhood. She enjoyed her volunteer work at the Salvation Army by helping the homeless, working the thrift store, standing kettles and numerous other activities. She wanted her family to tell all of her friends good-bye, and that she will miss you. A big thank you to the nurses, CNA’s and staff at the Davis Hospice Center for the caring and kind treatment of our mother.
Visitation will be held on Wednesday, January 20, 2016, from 9:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. at the Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. A memory service will be celebrated at 2:00 p.m. at the Lakeview Chapel at Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home. Private interment will be held at Beth El Cemetery.
