Shelldon's passing deeply saddens me. I served with Shelldon in Okinawa while in the Marines; he was an outstanding Marine. Years after I left the Marine Corps, I called Shelldon when he was about to get his law degree. I told him I was very proud of him; he replied "We were young tykes, we're we?" I replied, "What's a tyke?" -- then I remembered. We both laughed. I miss Shelldon's great sense of humor. Without a doubt, Shelldon was perhaps one of finest Marines I ever served with; he was a natural leader who was respected by all. I have photos of Shelldon when he was on Okinawa, and I want to share them with the family. What a pleasure it is to have known Shelldon! Semper Fi!
