Claire J. Just, 92, of Cheyenne, Wyoming, passed away Friday morning, September 22, 2017, at the Davis Hospice Center surrounded by her loving family.

Claire was born March 1, 1925, in New York, New York, daughter of the late William and Clara (Werner) Schultheiss.

Claire married William B. Just on January 25, 1946. She worked as a registered nurse in multiple fields. She was a member of Grace United Methodist Church, Cheyenne Newcomers, and she volunteered at Cheyenne Regional Medical Center. She was also an avid maker of needle crafts and she enjoyed making quilts to benefit Habitat for Humanity.

Claire is survived by her daughter, Janet Lind and husband, Geoffrey of New Fairfield, CT; her son, Kenneth Just and wife, Judi, of Cheyenne; three grandchildren, Jennifer Just, Bonnie Just and Christopher Lind; and two great-grandchildren, Claire Nelson and Troy Nelson.

She is preceded in death by her loving husband of 65 years, William B. Just on December 24, 2010; a brother, John Schultheiss; and a grandson, Andrew Just.

An inurnment service will be held at Arlington National Cemetery at a later date. Cremation is under the care of Schrader, Aragon and Jacoby Funeral Home.
