We will miss Dad, I will miss his voice, I will miss hearing him quote verses from the 'Authorized Version'. I will miss his biscuits, chili and baked beans. I will miss not hearing him preach a sermon again. However, I thank God that because of the work of the Lord Jesus on the cross and because the Lord Jesus said when he was on earth that any one who believes on Him, He would raise up at the Last Day. (John 6:40) So we sorrow not as those who have no hope. We will meet again and never have to part. I am glad that the on-going background and theme provided by both Mom and Dad was their utter confidence in our Lord and in the scriptures. Dad will know in the midst of the complete and eternal joy that we will follow in trace.
